About FrancoTech
Organized on the sidelines of the 19th Francophonie Summit, FrancoTech has established itself as a leading event for entrepreneurs and economic decision-makers within the Francophone space.
Initiated by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and organized by Business France and the Alliance of Francophone Employers, FrancoTech will bring together over 1,500 professionals from various sectors, including heads of state, renowned entrepreneurs, and experts from nearly 100 countries.
This high-level meeting will address strategic topics related to the future of the world, including artificial intelligence, energy transition, food security, and financing mechanisms.
Artificial Intelligence at the Heart of Benin’s Digital Transformation
Aware of the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), Benin is placing particular emphasis on this area through adapted policies and skills development to become a leader in Africa in this sector.
In January 2023, Benin became one of the first African countries to adopt a National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence and Big Data (Sniam), a key initiative aimed at leveraging cutting-edge technologies to accelerate its economic transformation.
Furthermore, several leading training programs are already being offered in this field in Benin, including those developed by Sèmè City in partnership with Sorbonne University and the Central School Group.
Sèmè City: An Emerging Innovation Hub in Africa
Sèmè City positions itself as a center of excellence, promoting higher education in cutting-edge sectors, innovative entrepreneurship, and scientific research through programs aligned with international standards.
Now recognized for its ability to train the talents of tomorrow, Sèmè City is developing its main campus on 330 hectares, set to accommodate over 30,000 students, entrepreneurs, and innovators from across the continent. The goal is to create a key knowledge and innovation hub in Africa, providing the framework, infrastructure, and skills necessary to design and develop impactful solutions.
