At a event in Shanghai, Microsoft officially unveiled their new Surface Pro tablet. Instead of calling it the Surface Pro 5, after the Surface Pro 4, Microsoft is simply calling it the new “Surface Pro“.

The new devices features some enhancements and upgrades including addition of Kaby Lake processors and new Type Covers using the same Alcantara material and colors as the new Surface Laptop.
Microsoft has also improved battery life up to 13.5 hours, which is up from the 10 hours of the Surface Pro 4.
The Surface Pen has been upgraded and now has 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity. The famous hinge on the Surface tablets has been improved and now sits lower.
