Ghana is about to become the first country on the Africa continent to get a Spaceship launch pad.
This is all thanks to a partnership between KESHE Foundation Ghana and BONADES Limited, a Ghanaian-owned Construction Engineering Management (CEM) company. The two companies will work together to develop and build a spaceship research center in Ghana.
The deal was signed off after feasibility studies, architectural and engineering designs had been completed.
The KESHE Spaceship Research Centre construction will start at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission in Accra and is estimated to be completed within a year.
The KESHE Spaceship Research Center will invest $21 million on the project which will include an administration block, Healthcare facility, Factory, Research Centre and the first African Flight launch pad.
This is a cool project and I’m sure most Ghanaians can’t wait for it to “launch”.
