What’s In Your Bag? is a feature where Tech Nova asks the average Ghanaian what devices and gadgets they use in their daily lives. For today’s feature, we’re showcasing the gadgets used by Afia Kwakyewaa Owusu-Nyantakyi.
We’re back again with another update. Today’s What’s In Your Bag features Afia Kwakyewaa. She’s a digital engagement consultant, a blogger, a feminist and host of the upcoming podcast, The Grey. She’s passionate about personal growth and self-care. Here’s what’s in her gadget bag:
MacBook Air 13’ inch
It’s been two years since I started using a MacBook. I was a complete illiterate when it came to how to use one since I had been using a Toshiba Laptop for so long. Now I’m not sure I could survive without it. As a blogger and Social Media consultant, I love the Mac for its speed and its battery power. I love that it can fit in a medium-sized bag.
iPad Air
The iPad Air came as a surprise birthday gift three years ago. It came at such a great time because I needed something light and easy to write on. I also wanted to be able to carry my writing with me. Although I do not use it as much as before, it’s very handy when I do not need a heavy backpack. Everyone knows the iPad can do nearly as much as the Mac. The great thing about these Apple products, of course, is that everything syncs seamlessly.
iPhone 5
The iPhone 5 was my first Apple product, which I completely loved! I still think it is the perfect size for ANY phone. But no one tells you how many times your screen is going to crack. So after the third screen heartbreak, it was time for an upgrade which came as another surprise from my fiancé. Sharing my work on my social media platforms is probably the easiest with my phone. I like to be as responsive as possible with my professional and personal ventures. This makes my iPhone, what I call the Kwakyewaa Central. I suffer disturbing withdrawals when I don’t have my phone with me.
Surfline MiFi
Although I have a love-hate relationship with my Surfline, a writer like me can’t go without it. I just wish it was more stable, but, internet is life! So whether I’m in a cafe or home or at a Restaurant, my WiFi goes with me.
Recorder
My friend and producer of our upcoming podcast, The Grey, Marian Conel Danquah, thought I needed a little practice before we officially started recording. Suffice to say, it has been handy for practice. But even more importantly, the recorder has great sound quality and is absolutely great for one-on-one interviews.
Lip Gloss
Well, because lip gloss is a girl’s best friend. I had to throw that in there.
