Ghana’s Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority To Integrate With Ghana Card In 2023

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) will officially integrate its database with the National Identification Authority by the end of the first quarter in 2023.

According to the CEO of the DVLA, it’s infrastructure has been tried and tested pending the development of the application.

The technology infrastructure is ready, tried, and tested. What needs to happen now is the application that we need to work on. We have to do some coding on the application part to make sure that the systems are feeding into each other or handshaking so that once a person comes to DVLA and gives us their Ghana Card, we get every information about them,” he said at a briefing.

Once integrated, a Ghanaian citizen will be able to use their Ghana card to get services rendered to them quicker without having to fill out physical paper forms.
