A data reports firm DataReportal has published a new 2024 report on the state of social media in Ghana.
The report details information including the number of social media users on the different social platforms as well as other internet information.

According to the report, it’s reported that Ghana has about 24.06 million internet users, with an internet penetration rate of 69.8%.
The report also stated that there are an estimated 7.40 million social media users in the country.

According to the report, the majority of websites and apps are in chat, messaging, and social networks.

The report also listed the estimated number of users on the following platforms in early 2024:
- Facebook – 7.40 Million users (Data published in Meta’s advertising resources)
- YouTube – 6.87 million users
- Instagram – 2.20 million users
- Facebook Messenger – 1.10 million users
- LinkedIn – 2.60 million “members”
- X/Twitter – 1.17 million users
