Andela Hosts Media Connect Event At Impact Hub In Ghana

On Tuesday, Andela hosted a media connect at Impact Hub in Accra where they met with some members of the Ghanaian media to discuss Andela and its mission in Africa. At the event, they also spoke about the Andela Learning Community and also highlighted some Ghanaian developers who are currently working at Andela.

Andela, which is a global software engineering company which helps companies build distributed software engineering teams, spoke to the media about the company’s mission and how Andela is helping to empower African developers

Reps from Andela also spoke about Andela’s recent mission change in 2019 where they went from focusing on “Engineering Training” to focusing on “Engineering services”.

They spoke about Andela’s current footprint in Africa which includes engineers and teams in countries including Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria, and Ghana.

Andela currently partners and works with some well-known companies including GitHub, Headspace, BBC and Coursera.

Andela Learning Community

Andela also discussed their online learning community where developers can apply online and learn different languages and skills with mentors from Andela.

Applicants who successfully apply and get through the online courses will be given Certificates of completion, access to Google certification exams and an opportunity to join Andela as a software engineer.

At the moment, Andela is open to hiring more Ghanaian developers and the company is hoping to get a physical office in the second half of 2020.
