Bitsika Combines Social And Fintech Features In Update For Its App

Bitsika, the Ghanaian fintech company, has updated its mobile app to include social features to officially make it a consumer social app.

The new Bitsika update will allow users to perform their transactions including sending money, intra-African remittances, crypto, and using virtual cards with the added ability to optionally share these transactions with their friends and followers.

Social Features

Profiles

Users can now create social profiles in the new update. When a Bitsika user follows another user, they can see all your posts on their timeline. Users can also directly send money via their profile without asking or needing any details other details.


Posts and comments

Users can share their transactions on the Bitsika app timeline for all their friends to see. They can also make general posts and comments that are not connected to transactions.


Fundraising and crowdfunding

Users can create fundraising campaigns for the weekend pizza party or help pay for a friend’s hospital bills. Bitsika users can donate in any currency. They can withdraw the funds as they come in parts.


Cash Requests

Users can request money from any Bitsika user who follows them and receive an instant credit immediately after they accept the request.


Fintech Features

The Bitsika app will offer the same fintech features in the new update including payments, remittances (between NGN, USD, XAF, XOF, GHS, KES, UGX), virtual cards, crypto, and bills.
