Boxconn, a startup from the Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST), recently partnered with KFC Ghana to power their entire logistics fleets.

Boxconn officially launched in January and connects businesses from Instagram sellers to Small Medium Enterprises, to reliable delivery partners that provide quick and cheap experiences for last-mile delivery. The startup can be described as a DoorDash in US and Meituan in China.

The startup also provides WhatsApp integration as well as data on a specialized digital dashboard for analysis.

With the partnership with KFC Ghana, Boxconn will allow all 20 branches of KFC to receive customer orders and send them to the closest KFC branch of the customer, after which it automatically gets assigns to a rider to deliver at the fastest time.

Boxconn is currently working with more clients for other logistics other than food deliveries and their current roadmap includes other delivery methods including vans, cars, and freight.
