In 2020, the World Bank released a report on the “Ease of Doing Business” which ranked countries on how easy it was for businesses to set up and operate.
In the African region of the report, Mauritius was ranked as the number 1 country on its ease of doing business index. The country was also ranked 13th in the Global ranking.
Rwanda and Kenya took the number 2 and number 3 spots.
