Developers in Vogue (DIV) is running a fundraising campaign named “Sponsor A Woman” which is aimed at raising GHS 150,000 to support young African women in their journey to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) for 2023.

The pilot phase of the campaign started this year, and DIVs have received an amount of USD 3000 from individuals in the tech industry which was used to train 75 young women in Data Science, Web Development, and Cybersecurity.

Here are testimonials from some of the beneficiaries:

“The bootcamp has broadened my knowledge on Cybersecurity and how important we take our security and personal information and data seriously”

– Ida Mandilas

“Developers in Vogue has not only given us the opportunity to learn at no cost and they also connected us with career and networking opportunities available”

– Naana Agyeman

It has been exciting though challenging but thanks to the team and my tutor the learning process has been great.”

– Lilian Chati

Developers in Vogue is a registered non-profit organization in Ghana that is bridging the digital gender-gap in STEM through the provision of project-oriented training, mentorship and job placement for young African women who are interested in pursuing careers in STEM.

Developers in Vogue believe that providing technical training for women is not enough, hence they strive to foster a supportive community for African women to grow personally and professionally.

Through their work, they have successfully placed women in technical roles in local and global tech companies, as well as competitive business incubator programs to enable them to start tech companies. Our areas of specialization include software development (web and mobile apps development), data science, and digital marketing.

Your donations will support our efforts to scale to other African countries and impact the lives of these young women.
