DHL Global Forwarding, the leading international air, ocean, and road freight services provider, inaugurated its Future Ready Head Office in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The newly-constructed facility features a head office, air freight and other support functions. It will serve as a hub, providing international logistics and transport solutions to different industries in Ghana and West Africa.
The Details
The 600 m² office includes a range of technologies and design features to deliver the best possible working environment for employees. It is designed to support agile and collaborative work with features like digitised notice boards and performance dialogues, wireless projectors and desktops, and voice command lighting systems.
The Accra facility also uses 100% LED smart lighting and a motion detection system to optimise electricity consumption and reduce its carbon footprint.
Employee health and safety also played a major role in the establishment of the office.
An Internet of Things (IOT) monitoring system provides constant updates on particulates and CO2 levels in the facility, providing a safer respiratory environment.
