June was supposed to be the completion date for Ghana in which the country was supposed to switch from analog to digital broadcast channels through the Ghana’s Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) Project.
However, the switch over will not be met due to the impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The update was given by the Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.
“We are faced with a pandemic which makes it difficult to complete the switchover process because of the cost implications on broadcasters”, she said.
There’s no update yet from the Ministry of Communications on when the official switch will be completed.
