The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) will start paperless registration and licensing of vehicles in Ghana by July 2022.

They said stated that the DVLA and the Ghana Card will be fully integrated soon.

The government has been implementing policies to reduce the human element in the services being provided by most government institutions.

It is expected that drivers will need their Ghana card information to access services including license renewals and license acquisition. Payments will also be made online using the Ghana.gov website.
