Ghana Averages 160,000 Pints in Blood Donation

This is below WHO blood donation requirements of about 300,000 pints

According to data from the World Health Organisation and Ghana’s Ministry of Health, Ghanaians donate about 160,000 pints of blood every year which is below the recommended blood donation requirement of about 300,000 to 350,000 pints.

In 2023, Ghanaians donated about 162,000 pints of blood vs the 300,000 pints recommended.
