The Ghana Housing Digital Data Survey, a comprehensive cost of living survey, launched on Monday, the 23rd of January.

The survey is being conducted by experienced researchers at the Ghana Market Research & Consumer Insights Hub and aims to understand the lifestyle changes Ghanaians are making in response to high inflation and the rising cost of living.

The findings of the survey will be used to inform policy decisions and help government and private sector organisations understand the needs and challenges of Ghanaian households.

We believe that this survey has the potential to make a real difference in the lives of Ghanaians,” said Miss Jaleela Zaman, lead researcher on the project.

By gathering and analysing data on the ways in which people are coping with high inflation and rising costs, we hope to identify areas where policy and support can be targeted to make the greatest impact.”

Respondents are currently being recruited to complete the survey and earn rewards for participating and sharing their opinions. Respondents will automatically be entered into the prize draw to win a month’s free rent.

It is important to know the growth of the housing market in the country via a survey like the Ghana Housing Digital Data Survey, which the Rent Control Department is encouraging everyone to participate in. Such a survey will unearth how far the country has come with respect to housing affordability and the impact of housing technologies”. says Mr. Emmanuel Kporsu, Head of PRO at the Rent Control Department.

The Ghana Housing Digital Data Survey is expected to be completed within the next few months, with results being released shortly thereafter.
