The current Government of Ghana has made its commitment to rolling out a paperless process at Ghana’s main ports starting September 1st.

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), its Customs Division, GCNET and West Blue Consulting have stated their readiness to roll out the system at the main ports in Ghana.

The paperless system is expected to eliminate delays and minimise human contact and interference to promote a more efficient process in cargo clearance at the ports.

Mr Kofi Nti, the Commissioner-General of GRA, said the system was currently being piloted and would be fully implemented by September 1 of this year (2017).
