Ghana Revenue Authority To Formally Introduce Online Tax Collection Platform

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), will today introduce their online platform to help improve tax collections and filing of returns in Ghana.

The Integrated Tax Application and Preparation System (ITAPS) platform will serve as a one-stop shop for all its services online.

ITAPS is an e-services platform that will enable Ghanaian taxpayers to prepare, apply and receive GRA services online. Users will be able to login and file their annual tax returns at their own convenience. 

Users will also be able to electronically access their TAX Clearance Certificate (e-TCC) as well as Withholding Tax Credit Certificate (e-Tax Credit) and VAT Withholding Tax Credit Certificate (e-VAT Credit)W

Taxpayers will have the option of either filing their returns via mobile money or other online payment methods.

The first phase of the ITAPS mobile application will be officially launched today allow only individual taxpayers accessibility for the time being in the interim. 

The second phase will include companies and multinationals and should be formally introduced by June.
