Ghana Tech Lab has commenced its incubation program for the 10 selected young innovators across 7 regions of the country.

The 2 months incubation program is on the back of the Ghana’s 1st National Mobile App Hackathon which is under the E-Transform Project of the Ministry of Communications and funded by the World Bank.

The incubation program that commenced on the 6th of July, will run till the 30th of August 2019. This is part of efforts to assist these budding entrepreneurs with access to specialized technical and business knowledge to transform their ideas into real-time products and services that are profitable, sustainable and of economic value.

The 10 selected young innovators will be provided with infrastructure, full mentorship, coaching opportunities by industry expects, an industry focused exposure and access to finance to enable them to transform these ideas into Tech startups.

Incubatees will be taken through 2 training sessions with the initial session being the technical development process.

The technical development process will be a training session where at the end, the incubatees will be able to apply skills learned from their initial Mobile App Training Program during the Hackathon.

Incubatees are expected to build Mobile App products and solutions that are of economic value during this technical development process.

The technical development process will be followed by the business development session. This session will introduce incubatees to various business development topics and give them a clear insight on the business and market opportunities of their ideas.

After these budding entrepreneurs have built their Mobile App products and solutions, they will be equipped with these business skill sets to assist them in converting their Mobile App from mere products into sustainable, marketable and profitable Tech Startups.

At the end of these sessions, incubatees will be given the opportunity to pitch their final products and solutions to investors, industry expects etc. The 10 incubatees will also have free access to various co-working spaces across the country, our network of industry expects, mentors and coaches
