Google Announces That The Next Version Of Android Will Be Android “Oreo”

Google finally announced that their next version of Android (popularly known as Android O) will officially be going by the name of Android Oreo.

Google is infamous for naming their Android software after desserts. There have been past names such as Android KitKat and Android Marshmellow.

Google showed off the official statue for the new Android OS, as it does with every new version.

Along with the new name and statue, Google also announced that Android Oreo will be available today via Google’s Android Open Source Project.

Android Oreo will be rolling out to Pixel and Nexus devices soon. Other devices such as Essential, General Mobile, HMD Global Home of Nokia Phones, Huawei, HTC, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp and Sony will be getting Android Oreo at the end of the year.
