In what looks like a great plus for Ghana, Google recently announced that it’s launching a new Artificial Intelligence research center which will open later this year in Accra, Ghana.

With this AI research center, Google plans to bring together researchers and engineers dedicated to AI research and its applications. It will collaborate with local universities and research centers as well as working with policymakers on the potential uses of AI in Africa.
Accra will join the list of Google AI centers including Paris, Zurich, Tokyo, Beijing, Montreal, Toronto, Seattle, Cambridge/Boston, Tel Aviv/Haifa, New York, and San Francisco.
Google is currently on the lookout for machine learning researcher interested in joining their new center, you can apply as a Research Scientist or a Research Software Engineer.
