hapaSpace To Host AfriConEU Bootcamp In Kumasi From 19th to 21st September

The AfriConEU Bootcamp, an initiative under the EU Horizon 2020 project, is set to land from the 19th to the 21st of September in Kumasi at the hapaSpace premises.

Building upon the success of the bootcamps held in Uganda and Tanzania, this event is a collaboration between multiple continents, aimed at unlocking new avenues for growth and innovation.

Event Details

The event will take place at hapaSpace, Ridge-Danyame, Kumasi from 19th to 21st of September 2023.

With the overarching theme: “Digital Horizons: Unleashing Africa’s Potential“, the AfriConEU Bootcamp seeks to create an environment where startups, innovators, and entrepreneurs can explore new horizons, connect with like-minded individuals, and learn from success stories that transcend borders.

Diverse Participation and Engaging Agenda

The AfriConEU Bootcamp will bring together Digital Innovation Hubs from Portugal, Greece, Italy, Slovenia, Uganda, Nigeria, the United Kingdom, Tanzania, and Ghana. This eclectic blend of perspectives will undoubtedly lead to the birth of innovative ideas, cross-cultural collaborations, and lasting partnerships.

The event’s agenda is thoughtfully designed to provide a holistic experience:

Day 1 – Unlocking Africa’s Economic Potential:

A panel discussion titled “Building a Thriving African Startup Ecosystem: Leveraging the AfCFTA for Cross-Border Growth and Investment” will kick off the bootcamp. This session will delve into strategies that startups can adopt to scale into African and European markets, all while attracting the funding needed for growth.

Day 2 – Knowledge-Packed Sessions:

This day will be dedicated to knowledge-sharing and inspiration. Sessions will include discussions on the role of digital solutions in attracting investment to African startups, insights from success stories of startups that have conquered international markets, strategies for crafting effective go-to-market plans, and methods for measuring impact and success.

Day 3 – Pitching to Potential Investors:

The bootcamp culminates in an exciting pitching event. Startups will receive dedicated support to perfect their pitches, giving them the opportunity to present their ideas to potential investors.
