On 6th and 7th November, the Seamless West Africa 2018 event brought together the international innovators from the payments, fintech & ecommerce industries.
The two-day event featured keynote presentations, panels, roundtables and interviews to showcase the thought leadership in front of Africa’s most engaged commerce audience.
The first day featured keynote speakers including Massimiliano Spalazzi (Co-CEO Jumia) who spoke about the e-commerce landscape in Africa.
Another keynote speaker was Dele Adeyinka (Chief Digital Officer, Wema Bank) and Adhar Srivastava (Director, Soleil Bank) who spoke about ALAT, a pioneering digital bank in Nigeria.
There were other speakers and roundtable discussions which highlighted different themes including the future of payments, the e-commerce landscape and financial inclusion.
The second day of the event started off with a roundtable discussion about partnerships with the central bank and included personalities such as Amediku Kwabla Settor (Director and Head of Payment Systems Department,Bank of Ghana).
Other discussions for the day included Remittances, the future of QR Payments and Blockchain.
