How To: Buy Bitcoin On YellowCard

Cryptocurrency is slowly becoming the norm with most people embracing Bitcoin and holding the currency in a crypto wallet.

If you’ve ever been curious about buying and selling Bitcoin, we have a guide on that. Today, we’ll be showing you how to buy Bitcoin using a Cryptocurrency app called YellowCard.

Here’s how to get started:

Get Started

Download the YellowCard app on iOS or Google Playstore. Open the app and select the Get Started button


Create An Account

Enter your phone number and select “Next”


Verify Phone Number

You’ll receive a code via SMS and you’ll need to enter the code to verify your phone number


Homepage

After you’ve verified your number, you’ll be directed to the homepage. Before you officially use any feature on the app, you’ll need to verify your identity


Verify Identity

Go to the Profile section on the navigation bar and select “Verify Identity”.

You’ll need to take a picture of an official ID and upload it to get verified. Verification takes less than 24 hours


Deposit Money

When you’re officially verified, you can now deposit money. Select the “Deposit” option on the home page.

You can deposit money either with Mobile Money or Bank Transfer


Enter Amount

Enter an amount that you want to deposit. The minimum amount to deposit is 20 GHC


Confirmation

After you get the prompt to confirm your PIN via mobile money, you’ll get a confirmation message.


Buy Bitcoin

After your money has been deposited, Select the Bitcoin icon on the home screen and select the “Trade” button at the bottom of the screen.

Select the “Buy” option from the list of options


Enter Amount

You’ll be asked how much Bitcoin you want to buy. You’ll see the current cost of Bitcoin on the screen and how much balance you have


Confirmation

After you entered your amount and selected continue, you’ll get a confirmation that your purchase was successful


And that’s it. You just purchased Bitcoin. You can now sell, send or receive Bitcoin from another wallet to your Yellowcard account.
