Signed up on TikTok a while back but now want to change your username to something else?
No problem. There’s a simple way to change your username or profile name.

Your username can only be changed once every 30 days.
Changing your username also means changing your personal TikTok URL (eg: tiktok.com/@yourusername). So if you do change it, make sure you remind prospective followers to follow your new name.
Changing your username on a verified account will “un-verify” your account. So make sure when you sign up, that’s the name you want to use for the future especially if you want it verified in the future.
Changing Your TikTok Name
- Go to your profile page (by tapping the Profile icon in the lower-right corner).
- Select Edit profile.
- Select Name (to change your profile name) or Username.
- Type in your new name. (In the case of your username, remember that will have to be unique.)
