Is Uber Ready To Launch Uber Eats In Ghana? Update: Apparently Not

Update: We’ve received an official statement from Uber about the Uber Eats feature potentially launching in Ghana. The Uber comms teams stated that currently, the Uber Eats feature is available in Kenya and South Africa and Uber currently does not have plans to bring the feature to other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

So no Uber Eats for the Ghanaians as of now we’re afraid.

There is a small war brewing in Accra with food delivery apps battling to get the loyalty of customers.

Glovo, Bolt Food and Hubtel appear to be the big names in the online food delivery services. But it appears that Uber Ghana might be preparing to launch their own food delivery service soon.

Uber Eats, which is Uber’s online delivery service might be ready to launch in Ghana soon.

Similar to how Bolt Food works, you select from an options of restaurants and food venues, select your option and have the food delivered to your present location.

There’s no word yet on when the Uber Eats feature will be available on the Uber apps. We suspect it’s currently being tested at the moment.

We’ll wait and see when the feature officially launches.
