Lazerpay, a fintech focused on payments using stablecoins, will officially cease operations at the end of April.
The company which came out of private beta in February 2021, was aiming to drive crypto by allowing businesses to accept payments in stablecoins. But due to its inability to raise funds, the startup will be stopping all of its operations by April 30th.
Merchants are advised to withdraw their funds from the platform. The news was announced on Twitter by its CEO Njoku Emmanuel.
The Lazerpay CEO welcomed offers from companies interested in purchasing Lazerpay’s IP.

Earlier this month, the crypto company Paxful, announced that it was shutting down its operations.
Luno, the crypto exchange based in South Africa, had its CEO step down in March and went through a layoff of 35% of its workforce
