Accra, Ghana, September 6th, 2024MEST Africa hosted an event that served as both a showcase and a celebration of the advancements in Ghana’s agritech ecosystem.

The event offered a unique opportunity for attendees to interact and engage with key players in the industry through interactive displays and discussions.

The event also featured a short preview of a documentary that provided a comprehensive overview of Ghana’s Agritech landscape.

The film features three leading companies—Complete Farmer, Farmerline, and Agro Innova—each making significant strides in agricultural technology and sustainability.

The goal of this event was to launch the first of the five-part series while giving attendees a 360 view and engagement within the industry.

Each episode delves into the challenges faced by traditional farming and showcases the cutting-edge solutions being developed to tackle issues such as climate change, supply chain inefficiencies, and access to finance.

From drones that monitor crop health to mobile platforms connecting farmers to markets, a documentary preview showed both local startups and global tech giants working to modernize the sector.

The event also featured different exhibitors in the agriculture space including Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC), AgroInnova, and Feed Future.

MEST Africa’s initiative arrives at a crucial time, as the conversation around sustainable agriculture gains momentum. With climate change threatening traditional farming methods, tech-driven solutions offer a pathway to more resilient and sustainable agricultural practices.
