At its annual Build event, Microsoft unveiled the next generation of their Metro User Interface.

Microsoft calls the new interface Fluent Design System and it adds in a whole new look to the user interface on Windows with new animations and a new user interface design.

Microsoft showed off some the new design with their email client, the file system and the desktop. It looks really interesting and has some might say looks like the approach that Google took with Material Design.

Users of Windows should expect the new UI to be featured in the next big update for Windows 10, which will be available sometime in September (Fall).
