Ministry Of Communications Might Allow Re-Registration Of SIM Cards Using Voter ID Cards

In a social media post by an MP in Parliament, it would appear that the Ministry of Communication will be allowing Ghanaian citizens to use their Voter ID cards to re-register their SIM cards.

The SIM Re-registration exercise which began late last year was to have users re-register their SIM cards with their respective telecom networks using their Ghana Cards.

However, issues with some Ghanaians being unable to get their Ghana cards from the National Identification Authority have led to numerous pushback regarding the deadline date.

The Minister of Communications has yet to put out an official statement on the new developments or a new deadline date.
