Netflix Raises Its Premium Subscription Prices By 40% in Nigeria

Netflix also raised prices for its Basic, Standard and Mobile plans

Video streaming platform, Netflix has raised the price of its subscription prices in Nigeria. The Netflix Premium plan has gone 40% from N5000 a month to N7000 a month.

Details

This is the second price increase from Netflix. In April, the video streaming platform increased its subscription prices.

The Standard plan subscription, which offers HD quality and multi-screen viewing options for Nigeria subscriptions has also been increased from N4,000 to N5,500.

The Basic plan has also been increased from N2,900 to N3,500, while the lowest subscription plan, Mobile, has increased from N1,200 to N2,200.

At the time, Netflix said the price adjustment was part of a broader strategy to revise its subscription fees across various regions.

Netflix has also been adjusting prices in its other markets globally, including the United States, United Kingdom, and France, with the Basic and Premium plans experiencing increases in October 2023.
