Paystack Rolls Out “Pay With Apple Pay” Option In Cote D’Ivoire and South Africa

1 Min Read

Paystack, an African payments platform, has rolled out its “Pay With Apple Pay” payment option in Cote D’Ivoire and South Africa.

The payments company rolled out the feature in Nigeria in 2021 and later introduced the option in Ghana. With the latest announcement, merchants on Paystack can now enable Apple Pay in four African countries.

How It Works

Apple Pay is a mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple. It enables payments that allow customers to authorise payments with Touch ID or Face ID, instead of manually filling out long payment forms.

Customers in Cote d’Ivoire paying with an international-issued card who have Apple Pay enabled on their Apple devices will automatically see the option to checkout using Apple Pay, and can complete the transaction using Touch ID or Face ID.
