Former President John Mahama outspent his rivals on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ads, during the 2024 Presidential elections.

The ad spend was over a three-month period.

  • John Mahama’s Meta ad expenditure was on 43 advertisements, while Mahamudu Bawumia’s expenditure was on 77 adverts. This suggests that Mahama’s average spend on each ad was $1,600, while Bawumia’s is $389.
  • Ads run from September 1 to December 25
