In a report from Rand Merchant Bank, Seychelles and Mauritius topped the rankings of African investment destinations. Seychelles was ranked 1st with Mauritius coming in 2nd.
Egypt was third in the report which assessed 31 nations on the continent.
Ghana ranked 6th on the list but had the highest overall scoring drop from its previous year in 2023 (In 2023, Ghana scored 0.31 vs 0.24 in 2024).
Kenya dropped out of the top 10 to rank 11th overall. The country has faced numerous challenges including political instability in recent months after anti-government activists who are protesting against proposed new taxes, poor governance, and state corruption.
