Shatta Wale Invested $2.2 Million In His Shaxi Ride Hailing Platform

The investment went into acquisition of fleet vehicles, promotions and marketing campaigns

Popular Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale revealed in an online video session with fans that he invested $2.2 million of his funds into his ride-hailing platform Shaxi.

The ride-hailing platform Shaxi was launched in 2021. The platform works similarly to Uber and Bolt, with users being able to request rides to their destinations.

At the launch event, Shatta Wale stated that he was launching the platform with hopes it would “provide jobs for the youth“.

In the online session with fans, Shatta Wale stated that most of the investment went into the development and deployment of the mobile app, the purchase of vehicles for drivers, and marketing and promotional campaigns.
