Kajsa Hallberg Adu Ph.D, is a lecturer in academic writing, leadership, and political science at Ashesi University College. Kajsa holds a Doctoral degree in African Studies from the University of Ghana and a Masters degree in Political Science from Uppsala University, Sweden. Her research interests are social media, augmented reality, migration, higher education, and African politics.
Outside her academic career, Kajsa is a blogger and political commentator. Her blog is kajsaha.com and she can be found daily on Twitter and Instagram under the username @kajsaha. Kajsa is the co-founder of BloggingGhana.org, the biggest organization for social media influencers and enthusiasts in Ghana. BloggingGhana has been organizing programs related to social media on a monthly basis since 2008, founded the Ghana Social Media Awards, and carried out the GhanaDecides project that can be credited for that the Electoral Commission first declared the 2012 election results on Facebook. Some will remember her from TV3’s “Frontline 2012”, where she interviewed politicians and key players in the general elections.
While Kajsa is from Sweden, she has called Ghana “home” since 2007. She lives in Tema with her husband, two daughters, extended family, many rabbits, hens, and a white guinea fowl.
