SnooCode Partners With Liberian Government To Launch National Digital & Postal Addressing System

1 Min Read

SnooCode, a Ghanaian digital mapping company, has partnered with the Liberian Government to launch Liberia’s National Digital & Postal Addressing System (NDPAS).

The Liberia NDPAS

Liberia’s NDPAS is designed to provide every Liberian with a unique 5–7-digit alphanumeric address code for their location (e.g., Monrovia 499-5EV), which can be shared with trusted contacts to direct them to the exact location using any mapping system on their smartphone.

Why This Matters

Liberia’s NDPAS will transform a range of industries, including banking, delivery services, eCommerce, emergency services, public health, sanitation, and emerging technologies like drones, while also creating jobs for the youth and empowering industrious Liberians to create jobs for themselves.

This partnership marks a significant step forward for Liberia in digital
innovation, and will undoubtedly shape the future of the country’s digital landscape.

What Happens Next?

Large-scale public trials of the NDPAS will begin in May 2023. Implementation of the system will be across the country, with special activities in Monrovia for the first six months.

These six months of special activities, trials, testing, and feedback will guide the project’s next step.
