Starlink Enables MPesa and Mobile Money Payment For Users in Kenya

Kenya users can now buy 50GB of data for just 1300 Ksh

Starlink, the space internet company from SpaceX, has introduced a new pricing for Kenyan users starting today.

Users of Starlink will be able to purchase 50GB of data starting at 1300 Ksh (~$10) and users will be able to make payments via MPesa and Airtel Money.

Starlink launched its services in Kenya in 2023. Consumers can purchase Starlink’s hardware, which includes the Starlink dish antenna, WiFi router, cables, and base, for 45,500 Ksh (~$350). The monthly fee for internet service is 6500 Ksh (~$50) for unlimited data.

In March this year, it was reported that Starlink had doubled the number of Satellite users in the country since its launch last year.
