If you’re a Surfline Ghana customer, you’re probably beyond frustrated.

Earlier last month, customers received a text message that the company’s internet service was facing challenges and that engineers were working on fixing the issue. Surfline customers have since been unable to access internet service.

Fast forward and it’s been close to a month and a half since the company’s services went down with no definite timeline on when the issue might be resolved.

Financial Troubles And Licensing Issues?

We don’t have any credible sources but currently, most of the rumors swirling on the company’s predicament are that Surfline might be facing financial difficulty.

Surfline has been facing competition from MTN and Vodafone who also provide mobile 4G services and have wider service coverage.

There’s speculation that the issue might have to deal with unpaid payments by the company to its parent company which has cut off service.

Other rumors are that its facing licensing issues with the National Communications Authority.

So far the company hasn’t provided any official communication on the issue aside stating that its technical issues.

As of the time of writing, the last communication Surfline sent to customers was on February 9th.

We’ll keep monitoring and write an update when information becomes available.
