Tech In Ghana Conference Kicks Off At The Accra Digital Center On 21st – 22nd November, 2017

The first Tech Conference in Ghana kicks off at the Accra Digital Center from the 21st of November to the 22nd of November, 2017.

The two-day event will showcase Ghana’s locally developed technology and innovations. The event will also strengthen relationships between key players in Ghana and provide a platform for business sourcing, collaborations and investment.

The event is organised by Africa Business 2020 (AB2020). Founder of AB2020 and Tech In Ghana Conference, Akosua Annobil, partnered with the Ministry of Communications for the upcoming event. She remarked that the event was to strengthen the dialogue between the main players in the industry on all levels and ensure it provides a leading platform to showcase the best of Ghana’s technology and innovations to both the local and global tech community.

From London To Ghana

The first Tech In Ghana Conference was held in London early this year on 27th February, 2017.

The event took place at international law firm Addleshaw Goddard’s in Moorgate. It included informative panel discussions and keynotes from the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Ghana Adam Afriyie; CEO of Ghana’s Investment Promotion Centre Yofi Grant; Vodafone Ghana’s director for enterprise and wholesale Angela Mensah-Poku; African Science Academy founder Tom Ilube; and WorldRemit CEO Ismail Ahmed.

Attendees included over 100 leading business executives, entrepreneurs and international journalists who were joined by representatives from the Bank of Ghana, National Communications Authority, Ghana High Commission, and UK tech firms and investors.

The Tech In Ghana event will be taking place at the Accra Digital Center.

Notable speakers will include Honourable Ursula Owusu-Ekuful (Minister for Communications), Albert Antwi-Boasiako (National Cyber Security Advisor),  Jacquelyn Omosunbo Omotalade (Public Policy, Uber, West Africa), Aaron Fu, Managing Director (MEST) and many more.
