This morning, at the YMCA Ghana center in Accra, the organisers of the Ghana Tech Summit announced that the event would officially be taking place at YMCA Ghana from December 13th to December 14th.
The event, which was slated to take place at the Kempinski Hotel, will now be held at the YMCA Ghana venue. In addition to the change of venue, admission to the Tech Summit is now free to attend.
Speaking at the press conference, Charlotte Ntim (Host at the Ghana Tech Summit) and Einstein Kofi Ntim (Partner at the Africa Future Fund) stated that the Tech Summit is a continuation of the 12-year initiative that began with the 2018 Tech Summit. Speakers from companies like LinkedIn, Digital Ocean, GitHub, Forbes and many more will be in attendance at the event.
The YCMA center will undergo a makeover to accommodate attendees to the event which the organisers stated was oversubscribed by 2000+ people.
At the press conference, they also stated that subsequent Ghana Tech Summit events over the next years will likely be moved to other regions and cities around the country.
Some VIP events will still be done at the Kempinski Hotel but the main summit will take place at the YMCA Ghana venue going forward.
Forbes Partnership
At the conference, Charlotte Ntim said Forbes Magazine would be coming in with a team from their executive-level including They would be accepting pitches from local companies and startups, where the winner would be featured in Forbes Magazine.
