This Post Was Written With The Help Of Artificial Intelligence

Writing is not easy. As a writer/blogger, you’re always trying your best to relay a story or article to their readers for them to easily get.

You’re also sometimes trying to post stories which are time sensitive. That means you might miss some words or write incoherent sentences.

In this fast paced world, content is key and you need to be unique in your writing as well as mistake free. A poorly written piece with grammatical errors and spelling mistakes could turn off some readers.

So where do you get help when you’re a lone writer? Artificially Intelligence.

Smart proofreading

Today, most software and operating systems have the standard spell checkers inbuilt. But in the browser, you might not always get your words or sentences checked correctly.

But now, there are advancements in helping writers produce better content online. Artificially Intelligence (AI) is one of those tools which can help writers and bloggers be better writers. Some AI tools help flag grammatical errors and style mistakes as well as stop the use of unnecessarily complex words and overused terms.

AI writing assistants can also distinguish between passive and active voice and give smart suggestions for rewording sentences.

For this post, I used a browser extension on Chrome called Grammarly, a freemium grammar checker. It uses AI to help with all writing tasks on the web. It also highlights wrong phrases and spelling errors.

I’ve also been playing around with another software called Atomic Reach. It uses machine learning to provide feedback on the readability of written content. With the use of these AI tools, it helps me to write better sentences and eliminates mistakes.

Using AI For Quicker Scanning Of Articles

There’s more AI assistance on the way which helps to analyze text and content online. Salesforce developed an AI algorithm which produces snippets of text that describe the essence of long texts.

Salesforce’s solution surpasses other AI algorithms by using machine learning. It uses a combination of supervised and reinforced learning to get help from human trainers and learn to summarize on its own.

An AI tool like that can help readers skim through articles on the internet and find relevant topics to write.  about if they’re researching for a story. I know something like that could help save me time in finding writing material.

Robo Writers And Future Of Writing

So now what? Since AI can help or assist with writing, will it eventually advance to the point where it can produce content on its own? Will human writers go the way of the dinosaur? Will bloggers be left to the wayside when the machines take over?

For now, I think writers like me are safe. There’s always going to be the human element in writing. Someone still needs to write the story and the AI can just tweak an article to make it better for the reader. But as far as the AI just completely writing the story with minor input from humans? We’re not there yet. But still, the idea is plausible and in fact, kind of scary.

But it might be a while before that happens.
