Tix Africa officially launched in 2019 and the company has a mission to be one of the best online ticket platforms in Africa. The company started in Lagos, Nigeria, and made it its mission to help event organizers all over Africa create incredible events.
The company recently set up shop in Ghana and they have the same goal when they started in Nigeria: To make it possible for event creators to sell event tickets online in their local currencies and empower event creators to deliver the best event experiences.
Tix Africa is described as a self-service event management platform that helps event creators sell tickets, manage admissions, and collect payments using our web and mobile applications.
So what makes Tix Africa different from the other ticketing platforms? Creators.
Tix Africa is focused on its creators and pushes to be user-focused by building features with its creators in mind. Their product is self-service, and simple to understand with a clean user interface and design.
Launch Of Tix Box Office
Tix Africa recently launched a new feature called Tix Box Office. The Tix Box Office is a no-code website that allows event creators to build a customized website listing multiple events and products in minutes.
It builds on the Tix experience, where each event is listed on a single web page, and allows event creators to aggregate their offerings without technical know-how.
Redesign Of The Tix Mobile App
The new Tix mobile app has a whole new interface design, and the company included some new features for event organizers including checking sales and check-ins for their events in real-time.
The app also has a new section for event attendees that allows them to discover and filter events based on location, date, ticket price range, and even interests.
Some other features included in the app include guests buying and storing tickets and adding events to their wishlists. Tix users can switch between the organizer and guest sections of the app by just clicking a button.
Tix Africa has new releases coming in the future. The company is working on a usage-based loyalty program for all our creators to reward them for using Tix.
They are also working on a new mobile POS system that will give event creators the ability to sell tickets at the door/gate of their events while still capturing all relevant guest information.
Guest information from tickets sold online and at the door will be accessible in real-time via the creator’s Tix dashboard.
The company can boast of a number of great clientele using their platform including the Afrochella festival and NFL Africa.
It should be interesting to see what happens in 2023 as the company gains more ground especially in Ghana.
