In commemoration of Ghana @60, top 25 ICT leaders in the country will be honoured at the 7th Ghana Information Technology & Telecom Awards (GITTA 2017) on July 14th 2017 at Kempinksi Gold Coast Hotel.

The ICT sector has evolved tremendously since independence hence the need  to celebrate the top 25 ICT experts who have contributed to the expansion of the sector in recent times.

In spite of a broader slowdown in the economy, Ghana’s ICT sector has seen high double-digit growth  most especially in the last two years, supported by new infrastructure and value-added mobile services.

The growing penetration helped the ICT sector outpace broader economic growth, according to data issued by the Ghana Statistical Service in June 2016.  While GDP expanded by 4.9% year-on-year (y-o-y) in the first quarter of 2016, the ICT sector grew by some 18.8%.This represents a dramatic acceleration from the fourth quarter of 2015, when the sector expanded by 5.2% y-o-y, compared to 4.9% GDP growth.

GITTA recognizes customer service, innovation and excellence in the Ghana Telecom and Information Technology industry. Over the years, besides promoting excellence in the telecom sector, GITTA has evolved and extended its reach to include recognition to companies which have taken efforts to innovate its business through the adoption of technology.

This year’s awards also has an independent panel of industry experts that, will recognize organizational performances, products and services, innovations, executives and management teams, women in ICT, and successful deployed CSR initiatives.

Winners will be announced at the Gala night  which will also provide an exceptional opportunity for stakeholders to network, entertain clients, and reinforce relationships with partners and reward staff with exceptional performances.
