Truckrtech Wins 2019 Editon Of TechCircle Pitch2Win Competition

Ghanaian startup Truckrtech has recently emerged as the winner of the 2019 edition of TechCircle’s Pitch2Win competition in Lagos.

Truckrtech is a Ghanaian startup which offers manufacturing companies, fast-moving consumer goods, distributors, exporters, importers, freight forwarders the ability to book for any kind of haulage truck online to haul their goods. 

The competition was run by Techcircle, in partnership with Japan’s FreakOut Holdings to help local startups local and international investment opportunities.

Founded last year by Caryl Joshua Akonor, Truckrtech gives real-time visibility, cargo-in-transit insurance and proper communication channels to shippers and drivers.

Caryl stated that Truckrtech had completed their pilot and they hope they commence with full operations in the coming months.

“Between May and June, we’ve done $12,000 in revenue. We can look to 15% month on month revenue increase with this funding from Pitch2Win,” he said.

Their main prize for winning the competition was $2700 in equity funding.

The judges for the competition included Greentree Capital Investments Ola Brown, Reliance HMO’s Femi Kuti, Freakout Holdings’ Yuzuru Honda, Lateral Capital’s Babara Iyayi and M&S partners’ Hiro Mashita.
