Uber, the ride-hailing service, has reportedly lowered the commission fee for its drivers. In a new blog post on their website, Uber will reportedly lower its commission fee from 25% to 20% for its drivers in Ghana.

Uber stated that the lowering of its fees was to help enable better earnings opportunities for its drivers.

With the lowering of its commission fees, Uber will also slightly increase fares to help offset the costs. These fees will be reflected across all Uber services including UberX and Uber Share. Below is an example of the increased fares

The lowering of these fees is a result of feedback from their Uber drivers. It could also be a result of competition from their nearest competitor, Bolt.
