Uber riders in Accra tend to complain about their Uber drivers not having vehicles with working ACs or being very good when navigating the streets of Accra. But now, riders have an option to have a better experience.
Uber Ghana has pushed an update to their app which allows riders to select a new Uber option on their app: UberSELECT.
Described as an option for a safe, comfortable and reliable ride for all special occasions, UberSELECT cars will be driven by experienced and highly-rated driver-partners and higher quality vehicles.
UberSELECT is a little higher priced than the normal UberX option but with the guarantee that vehicles will have Air Condition and quality driving, Uber riders might not have much to complain about.
Destinations that you can ride to include East Legon, the Airport & East Airport, Osu-Ridge-Ministries, Cantonments and Labone.
UberSELECT Pricing:
Per KM: GHS 1.00
Per Min: GHS 0.35
Base Fare: GHS 2.00
Minimum Fare: GHS 8.00
Will Uber riders in Ghana welcome this new option (even though it’s higher priced) or just stick with the regular Uber rides? We shall see. I’m just patiently waiting for the UberEats option.
