WhatsApp has started verifying some select businesses on WhatsApp with green badges. If a business contacts information is verifiable, WhatsApp assigns that business a verified account.
WhatsApp has been piloting the program with a small number of businesses.
Users will know that they are chatting with a verified business accounts by showing a yellow text bubble on the business side. Apparently, texts can’t be deleted and records of chats are kept when having a conversation with a verified business.
New Form Of Business Communication
Many businesses, especially in Ghana, are using WhatsApp to communicate with clients and customers. Green badges will be a great way to making sure users know they are chatting with trustworthy businesses on the app. It will also encourage more businesses to use WhatsApp.
