Is Voice And Video Calling Coming To Instagram?

If the rumors are true, voice and video calling features might be coming to Instagram soon.

According to TechCrunch, a look behind Instagram’s code has revealed these features. In Instagram’s Android Application Package (APK), there are files labeled”call” and “video call” with phone and camera icons.

These features haven’t been made officially but it points to a possible future update for the Instagram app.

Interestingly enough, Instagram’s competitor Snapchat also has video calling features. Instagram’s ability to make voice and video call would make the competition a bit more heated between the two social media apps.

There’s no official word on when the voice and video features will launch on Instagram yet.
