Wentors is proud to announce the launch of its mentorship program, designed to connect and empower women around the world. They are now accepting applications for both mentors and mentees to join the program and be a part of this empowering community.

The IWD mentorship program has a proven track record of success, with over 3000 mentorship matches made in the past years. The program is designed to provide guidance, support, and inspiration to women at all levels of their careers.

Having recently partnered with other organizations across the world including, Datacamp, Hustlecrew, shecancode, CTN Tech Ghana, and Tech Nova Gh, there is a line-up of opportunities available to women who will be participating in this year’s cohort.

For the 2023 edition of the IWD mentorship cohort, Wentors has made a commitment to impact more women across the African continent, hence its partnership with CTN Tech and Tech Nova Ghana is strategic. It believes with both organizations onboard, an opportunity such as this will not be missed by the African woman in tech.

Mentors in the program are experienced professionals who are committed to sharing their knowledge, skills, and networks with mentees. Our mentor list comprises women in tech from top organizations in the world including Microsoft, Dell Technologies, Meta, Women in Tech Gothenburg, Safaricom PLC, MTN, to mention a few. They provide guidance, advice, and act as a sounding board for their mentees as they navigate their careers. In return, mentors have the opportunity to give back to the community and gain a new perspective on their own careers.

Mentees in the program are women who are looking to take their careers to the next level. They are eager to learn from experienced professionals and gain new skills, knowledge, and networks. The mentees come from a variety of backgrounds and industries and are looking to make meaningful connections and achieve their career goals.

Pointing out the goal of this years’ cohort, Toluwase Olugbemiro in a conversation with Tech Nova said, “We are hoping to touch more African countries in this years’ cohort. And we believe we’d be able to do so through strategic partnerships with organizations who share in our vision. The 2023 edition of the IWD mentorship program is unique, with 3 distinct tracks that provide participants with an opportunity to learn a new skill, be mentored in technology, and be recommended for internship/job placement after the program.”

Wentors is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community, and encourage applications from women of all backgrounds and tracks within the technology industry.
